Executive Biography
Gaming Hall of Fame inductee Debi Nutton is one of the gaming industry's most accomplished executives, with more than four decades of leadership experience spanning casino operations, hospitality, corporate governance, executive coaching, and consulting.
Debi began her gaming career in 1979 as one of the few female dice dealers on the Las Vegas Strip. In 1989, she joined the opening team of The Mirage as a Dice Pit Manager, becoming the only woman selected for that role on the property's opening leadership team.
Over the next 24 years, Debi built an exceptional career with MGM Resorts International and its predecessor organizations, advancing through a series of operational leadership roles to become Senior Vice President of Casino Operations and Marketing for both MGM Grand and Bellagio. In 2013, she joined Wynn Resorts as Executive Vice President of Casino Operations, overseeing one of the most respected casino operations in the industry.
Following her retirement from corporate gaming operations, Debi launched her executive coaching and consulting practice in 2020. Today, she advises gaming companies, boards of directors, executives, and emerging leaders on leadership development, organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and strategic growth.
Debi currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for EagleSight.ai, a company focused on advancing security and surveillance technology within the gaming industry. In 2025, she joined the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, supporting leadership development and life-changing opportunities for girls throughout Southern Nevada.
A graduate of the UC Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute, Debi also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Bellevue University and an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, Class of 2010.
Throughout her distinguished career, Debi has been recognized as one of gaming's most influential leaders. She was invited by Judy Patterson to serve on the founding board of Global Gaming Women, helping advance opportunities for women throughout the gaming industry. Her honors include the National Association of Women Business Owners' Woman of Distinction Award (2007), the Casino Enterprise Management Great Women of Gaming Proven Leader Award (2009), and the Global Gaming Women Great Women of Gaming Lifetime Achievement Award (2018).
In 2024, Debi received one of the highest honors in gaming when she was inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame by the American Gaming Association. The recognition celebrates her exceptional leadership, operational achievements, mentorship, and lasting contributions to the gaming industry.
